What I’m up to

This is my take on the “Now” page idea. It’s the place I mention stuff about my life I’d “tell a friend I hadn’t seen in a year“.

Every month I will write a short update on what I worked on, what I did, and what I learnt. It’s a great way to track momentum (or lack thereof), and a useful tool for looking back and seeing forward motion when things seem to be standing still. (Slowly, slowly, then all at once).

A highlight:
Stole a mid-week break to cape Town with my son. We did not much other than walk (a lot), eat (even more) and talk (endlessly). Making memories.

A highlight:
I went on a day hike to the Dome Pools in the Magaliesberg. Went off-trail to explore the gorge. Found it incredibly tough, which was probably a combination of the terrain, the heat and my fitness levels. Very disappointed with myself…thought I was better prepared. Will try again when the weather cools. Regardless of my struggles, I think this was one of the most beautiful walks I have done in the region. Highly recommend.
